Online sessions about conducting
Occasional sessions of interest to conductors will be organised from time to time . Please check back for new dates.
Tuesday 21 March 2023: 19.00-20.00 (GMT) 'Interpretative choices: the differences between conducting Bach and Britten' [FREE SESSION: To register please click here]
Online content to complement recordings (pictures, musical examples etc) is available here.
No preparation in advance in essential, but you will get more out of it if you can do some. For the work-specific sessions doing some prior listening and/or score study would be useful.
An individual session costs £15. Use the PayPal button below to pay the relevant amount. You don't need a PayPal account to do this but can just pay through PayPal using a card. The day before each session you will receive an email with a Zoom link (check your Junk mailbox if necessary). You just need to click that link at the time of the session and follow any instructions. Any other technical things will be explained at the start of each session.
For the sessions on a particular piece please have a score to hand.
If you've not used Zoom before click the link 5/10 minutes before the session start time as your computer (or tablet or phone) will need a little time to install the software to enable you to join (follow the prompts that you get to effect that installation). Finally you will receive the message 'Please wait, the meeting host will let you in soon'. Please note that you don't need to sign up for a Zoom account.
